Experience: 3+ years

Salary: AED 4-5k per month

Responsibilities:

• Write clean, testable, and secure code based on standard web development best
practices
• Compile and analyse data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement
• Build and maintain web and backend applications
• Responsible for in-house and 3rd party API integration
• Contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle, working well in a small team and independently with minimal supervision when necessary
• Collaborating with the front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience
• Developing ideas for new programs, products, or features by monitoring industry developments and trends
• Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new programming languages, and better assist other team members
• Taking lead on projects, as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field
• 3+ years of web/backend development experience in PHP and MySQL
• Minimum of 3 years of WordPress experience
• Minimum of 2 years of JS experience
• Strong knowledge of Bitbucket, Linux, Hosting, and File Transfer
• Better analytical and logical skills and having adequate technical knowledge in areas of object oriented design, database management etc.
• Experience with web services such as REST, SOAP and API development and 3rd party integrations
• Have experience with Web sockets and Server Sent events to provide the frontend with real time data
• Excellent project and time management skills
• Strong problem solving and verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently or with a group

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with Node.js & Laravel
• Experience with AWS, Digital Ocean and networking technologies
• Experience with Magento 2
• Understanding of a modern JavaScript framework (Angular, React, Knockout, etc.)
