While we’re saying our farewells to 2016, it’s time to leave Rose Quartz, Serenity and Marsala behind our backs and say hello to our new Pantone color, Greenery!
Officially described as ‘a symbolic color selection; a color snapshot of what we see taking place in our global culture that serves as an expression of a mood and an attitude’, Pantone Color Institute chose the color of the year according to these measures; and now, everyone will adopt the ‘Greenery’ trend in the forthcoming year.
2016 is not the “best of the best” for all of us undoubtedly. The need of vitality, nature and rejuvenation is what all our hearts desire. This bright and powerful color is a reason Pantone dubs this color as “nature’s natural”. Overall, the main purpose is to impose the significance of nature and humanity.
Let’s watch the video of the color, Greenery:
We know what kind of world we are living in: one that is very stressful and very tense.
This is the color of hopefulness, and of our connection to nature. It speaks to what we call the ‘re’ words: regenerate, refresh, revitalize, renew. Every spring we enter a new cycle and new shoots come from the ground. It is something life affirming to look forward to.

The fashion industry has already warmed up with the new hue in their upcoming Spring collections, the vivid color is taking over all the runways in fashion shows.
Eiseman also quoted something poignant and emotional on the official site:
Also known as Pantone 15-0343, Greenery is a super-positive color and we hope for it to bring us fresh, positive and cheerful things throughout 2017!
